We found Indy Decorative Concrete through Angie’s List. Marc was extremely courteous in all our interactions with him. He accommodated several schedule delays from other basement repairs we had going on at the same time. He and his team worked diligently for the 5 days they were in the house. On the final day they stayed until after 7 pm to finish everything. We have had several people, including the contractor who was doing the full basement finishing for us, tell us that the stained floor is the highlight of the overhauled basement. We couldn’t be happier with the end result.
It is just beautiful! It really appears to look like tile but for a 1/3 of the cost. It also seems like a better option for basement waterproofing. Water is unable to get under, unlike tile. The workers were very courteous and prompt to the job. They were clearly knowledgeable in their field; very informative. I would highly recommend them!
I don’t think we could have hoped for it to look as good as it does. The company was timely and even worked around a neighbor’s party so the noise wouldn’t be disruptive – how is that for a company who is cool to work with. They were timely and worth the price, but more importantly, the patio looks awesome.
Marc turned our old dreary and gray concrete patio with cracks into a beautiful concrete overlay technique. First of all, Marc had to remove 2 layers of concrete repairs from approximately 10 square feet of the patio. Then, Marc had to pour 10 squares of feet with new concrete before he could start the overlay project. Then Marc filled in the cracks with hyproxy. For the overlay, Marc used a mixture of sorts to cover our old patio. Marc artfully colored and toweled to look like a beautiful patio. I could not have told you the finished product was not real. Marc created a master piece.
In late April, we contacted Marc to give us an estimate for a decorative patio. He provided the estimate the same day. Marc was very professional in showing samples of his work. From his samples, we chose the finished product and gave him a deposit. Due to some conflicts, we told him that he could not start the project until mid May. On May 20th, Marc started the project by removing 2 layers of concrete repairs from a 10 square foot area. The next day, Marc filled in cracks in the patio with hyproxy. Then Marc started the overlay of the old patio. Marc completed the final step on Monday, May 24
Other than a rain delay and my dogs bothering everyone it went great. I hadn’t considered the rounded patio. I was going to go with square but they talked me into it and it flows very nice with the yard and looks unique. They even drove the concrete carrier and used wheel barrows because I didn’t want the concrete truck in my yard. They went out of their way to keep the yard damage to a minimum.
We had an old concrete floor in the breezeway that now looks like ceramic tile. Indy Decorative Concrete did a great job of transforming our breezeway into a beautiful room. The floor looks like ceramic tile. Marc Roland was very professional from start to finish.
My concrete patio had pits and stains. IDC resurfaced the entire area with colored overlay and it looks beautiful. The house was for sale and the condition of the patio was a concern for us. The final project help close the sale much faster. Excellent return on my investment. Overall the job went pretty quick 3 days from start to finish. The guys arrived early in the morning worked all day and were really polite. The color of the concrete really showed up after about 2 days of drying/curing time.
Concrete overlay of existing exposed aggregate front porch and steps. Existing concrete was badly worn and outdated. Marc returned 3 times to layer the concrete and tint to match our color. He also returned and added glass beads to surface, at no charge, to increase traction. Nice job start to finish. Easy to work with.
Turned my old, dreary, gray concrete patio beautiful with concrete overlay technique. I don’t know the craft Marc used so it is difficult for me to discuss in detail. But basically, a mixture of sorts is overlayed onto an existing surface, and then artfully colored and toweled to look like slate. I could not have told you it wasn’t real when he was complete. It’s a pretty neat process. I called on Monday, left a message, and the owner, Marc, called back the same day. He met with me at the house Wednesday and we discussed prices, colors (I wanted to match the color in my brick house).and techniques. I chose a slate trowel technique. Marc made me a sample board (shows the technique and color) and dropped in off on my porch Thursday. I called with the ok that night. He started Friday after we signed the contract and was done Sunday evening. I paid Friday at contract signing and the other Sunday after the work was complete.
