When we’re working at your home, we know we’re also working in your neighborhood. Your neighbors didn’t hire us, but they still deserve our respect. Every morning our crews are reminded to park carefully, avoid blocking mailboxes, trash cans and driveways and whenever possible stay on one side of the street so school buses, delivery trucks and emergency vehicles can pass without difficulty. These may seem like little things, but they’re part of being a good neighbor while we’re guests in your community.
Construction can be noisy, and we understand that. Even though starting work earlier during the summer would help us beat the afternoon heat, we intentionally wait until 8:00 a.m. before beginning because people deserve quiet mornings. There have even been times when we’ve gone above and beyond to minimize disruptions, but we have been accidentally in the way before too! We have ran trash cans down to the trash truck that we were accidentally blocking, helped flag homeowners in and out of parking spots. We felt awful when a young mother called upset because the noise was disturbing her sleeping baby. We mailed her a gift card along with a handwritten apology. We can’t eliminate every inconvenience that comes with construction, but we can always choose to treat people with kindness and respect. We put our name on everything we wear and drive and then put a sign in the yard – We are not hiding! Contact us anytime.
